This study has sought to reveal perceptions towards the employment of WhatsApp in foreign language learning, especially preparing for a national academic language exam. In this sense, this study is supposed to make contribution to employing WhatsApp in educational contexts. This study, designed as a case study, is to investigate the pros and cons of WhatsApp usage during preparations of foreign language proficiency exams. A total of 29 participants with different demographics and characteristics were recruited in this study. During the preparation for an academic exam called Foreign Language Exam (YDS), WhatsApp was included as a learning community to reinforce the activities conducted in regular classroom. Following the training period, the data were collected through a semi-structured interview form, prepared by the researchers. Content analysis method was used to analyses data. The findings …

Her bir öğrencinin bireysel farklılıklardan kaynaklanan kendine has öğrenme biçemi/stili vardır ve bu stil onun en iyi
öğrenebildiği yoldur. Bu çalışmanın amacı söz konusu kontrol grubunun yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğreniminde işitsel,
görsel ya da bedensel öğrenme biçemlerinden cinsiyet değişkenine göre daha çok hangisine yöneldiklerini tespit
etmektir. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Bosna Hersek'te çok dilli öğrenim programına yönelik eğitim-öğretim
vermekte olan Richmond Park okullarında Lise 1, 2, 3, ve 4. sınıflarda öğrenim gören 113 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır.
Katılımcılar bu çalışmaya BİG16 öğrenme biçemi anketinden örnek alınıp yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenimine
yönelik düzenlenmiş olan 18 soruluk anketi cevaplayarak araştırmaya dahil olmuşlardır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS
programında analiz edilerek frekans dağılımları ve yüzdelik oranları hesaplanmıştır. Cinsiyete göre öğrencilerin biçem
tercihlerinin değiştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

ABSTRACT
Each student has its individual learning style and this style is the way in which he or she learns the best. The aim of this
study is to determine the influence of auditory, visual, or bodily learning styles on control group in learning of Turkish
as a foreign language. The study group of this research was composed of 113 student of grades 1, 2, 3 and 4, studying
in Richmond park School which provides multilingual education and training programmes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Participants were included in the study by responding to the questionnaire of 18 questions prepared for the learning of
Turkish as a foreign language by taking a sample from the BİG16 learning style questionnaire. The obtained data were
analysed in SPSS programme, where frequency distributions and percentages were calculated. It might be concluded
that students’ preferences differ in regard to their gender.

Los traductores y los profesores de español como lengua extranjera (ELE) actúan como mediadores lingüísticos, lo cual, sin negar las particularidades de una y otra profesión, los sitúa en su día a día ante problemas semejantes. Además, de forma más o menos consciente, los estudiantes de una lengua extranjera, sobre todo en los niveles iniciales, recurren a la traducción para superar una dificultad o afianzar sus conocimientos. Por todo ello, nos parece necesario reflexionar sobre el papel que la traducción debe tener en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el siglo XXI. En la presente comunicación se analizan las aplicaciones prácticas en la enseñanza de ELE de los avances que se han producido en los estudios de traducción. Se exponen, asimismo, argumentos que cuestionan algunos de los razonamientos en los que se fundamenta el rechazo del empleo de la traducción en las clases de ELE. Y se presentan y analizan varios ejemplos del papel que puede desempeñar la traducción como herramienta práctica en la clase de ELE, con arreglo a los diferentes niveles establecidos en el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas (MCER).

This issue of Matices en Lenguas Extranjeras presents eight academic and scientific articles on unpublished research in the teaching of second and foreign languages. Some of this work takes into account factors that impact motivation in the teaching/learning of a language (as a second language or a foreign language) while other work analyzes how socio-linguistic aspects determine a community’s cultural integration or alienation or the degree of language comprehension in endolingual contexts. These contributions can be considered multilingual and multicultural as they are written in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

The purpose of this study is to provide an overall picture regarding general and skill-based Language Assessment Knowledge (LAK) level of English teachers working in Turkish higher education context by using Language Assessment Knowledge Scale (LAKS) developed by Ölmezer-Öztürk and Aydın (2018). The scale including 60 items with four constructs was completed by 542 EFL teachers working at schools of foreign languages. The statistical findings revealed that in terms of LAK level of the teachers, the participants got, on average, 25 out of 60. The results of one sample t-test revealed that the score the teachers got from the scale was significantly lower than half of the total score. It was also found that the teachers were the most knowledgeable in assessing reading whereas they had the lowest score in assessing listening. Besides, except for being a testing office member, no significant impact of demographic features was found on LAK level of the participants. Finally, the present study offers several suggestions both for future studies and for policy makers to improve EFL teachers’ language assessment literacy on assessing each skill.

Son yıllarda Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak öğretimi sürecinde kullanılmak üzere dil becerilerinin geliştirilmesi ve dil bilgisi konularının öğretimi için materyal geliştirme çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmalar incelendiğinde geliştirilen materyallerin gerçek öğretim süreci içerisinde kullanılarak öğretime etki ve yararının tespit edilmemiş olması önemli bir sorun olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Sözü edilen problemi temele alan bu araştırmada yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi sürecinde kullanılmak üzere geliştirilen materyallerin etkililiğini, yetkinliğini ve başarıya etkisini ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamı açısından daha sınırlandırılmış bir ifadeyle bu araştırmanın amacı, zarflar konusunda animasyonla zenginleştirilmiş materyallerin yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen bireylerin bu konudaki akademik başarısına etkisi olup olmadığını ve uygulama sonunda öğrencilerin üretim becerilerinden yazma sırasında öğrendiklerini kullanma noktasında gruplar arasında herhangi bir değişime yol açıp açmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Gerçek deneme modellerinden sontest kontrol gruplu model ile desenlenen bu araştırma tesadüfi olarak seçilmiş B1 düzeyindeki iki farklı sınıfta Türkçe öğrenen 16'sı deney, 16'sı kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 32 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen materyallerle zarfları öğrenen öğrencilerin sontest puanlarının öğretim seti ile eğitim alan kontrol grubunun puanlarından daha yüksek olduğu ve gruplar arasında oluşan bu farkın anlamlı bulunduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bir diğer sonuca göre; deney grubunda yer alan öğrencilerin yazılı anlatımlarında kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre daha çok sayıda zarf kullandıkları belirlenmiştir. Bu sonuçlar deney grubunun eğitim sürecinde kullanılan materyallerin zarflar konusunda akademik başarıyı olumlu yönde etkileyip artırdığını; araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen öğretim materyaliyle yapılan eğitimin öğrencilerin yazma becerilerinin gelişimine zarfları kullanabilme becerisi bakımından katkı sağladığını göstermektedir.

Abstract:
When studies which aim to provide teaching materials needed for both instructing grammar topics and improving language competences in the process of teaching Turkish as foreign language, are analyzed, the most important deficiency is that developed materials have not been tested in terms of functionality, In this research basing upon mentioned problem, it is aimed to find out effectiveness, efficiency and influence on achievement of teaching materials developed for using in teaching Turkish as foreign language. With limited words in the sense of this study's scope, the purpose of this research is to present whether materials enriched with animations in the topic of adverbs have impact on academic achievement of Turkish learners as foreign language or not and variance between groups happens with regard to use of what is learnt in writing competence at the end of implementation or not. This research designed with control group posttest experimental model, carried out 32 (16 experimental, 16 control) Turkish language learners who are in 2 different B1 level class selected randomly. According to research results; posttest scores of learners in experimental group learned adverbs with the materials prepared by researcher are higher than points of students in control group who went with the course book on adverbs and this variation between experimental and control groups is significant. In accordance with another outcome from research; it is detected that learners in experimental group used more adverbs than students in control group as writing. These results show that materials used during instruction of experimental group, affect academic achievement positively in the topic of adverbs and enhance it; instruction via the materials prepared by researcher, contribute to improvement of learners' writing competence in point of ability to use adverbs.

Резюме. Поради все по-масовото навлизане през последните десетилетия на преводачески специалности в хуманитарните университети, в съвремен-ната наука за превода вече започват да се разработват методически указания за специализирано обучение по превод на поетичен текст – област, която до неотдавна оставаше в периферията на изследванията. В настоящата статия е представена примерна схема за организиране на часовете по превод на поезия, която в максимална степен да е съобразена както със спецификата и с труд-ностите на превеждания жанр, така и с обективните ограничения на универ-ситетските курсове по отношение на време и ресурси. Предложенията имат практическа насоченост, като целта им е да подпомогнат преподавателите по превод за оптимизиране на учебния процес в изпълнение на сложната им за-дача да подготвят бъдещи преводачи на поезия. Едно от най-големите предизвикателства в специализираното обучение по превод на литературни текстове е свързано със създаването на преводачески ком-петенции в областта на стихотворния превод. Тук не става дума за вместване на превода на поезия в рамките на общите преводни умения, които се придобиват в процеса на усвояването на чужд език, а за целенасочено и систематизирано обу-чение, което реално да подпомогне бъдещите преводачи на поетични текстове. Самата идея за институционализирано обучение по стихотворен превод предизвиква основателен скептицизъм поради изключителната сложност и су-бективност на преподаваната материя, която не подлежи на рамкиране и/или унифициране. Макар и да има относително единомислие за възможността да се обучават литературни преводачи, поезията продължава да заема особено, изолирано място сред останалите литературни жанрове и мнозина все още за-стъпват становището, че нейният превод е запазена марка за избраници. Така се стига до основополагащия въпрос: възможно ли е изобщо такова преподаване на превод на стихотворен текст, което да надхвърля рамките на школското сти-хоплетство?

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implikatur percakapan presentasi mahasiswa dari satu tugas proyek dalam matakuliah keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman di Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman FPBS UPI Bandung pada semesmter genap tahun Akademik 2012/2013 berdasarkan prinsip kerjasama dan maksim percakapan dari H.P. Grice. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif. Wujud data berupa tuturan-tuturan percakapan dari transkripsi rekaman video presentasi mahasiswa dalam bahasa Jerman. Teknik catat dengan kartu data digunakan untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisa data. Hasil analisis data menunjukan, bahwa pelanggaran prinsip kerjasama yang terbanyak adalah pelanggaran maksim kuantitas, maksim kualitas, kemudian diikuti oleh maksim cara, maksim relevansi dan maksim kulitas

A intercompreensão é, atualmente, um dos principais conceitos no que concerne ensino-aprendizagem de línguas no contexto globalizado do século XXI. As transformações nas relações e nos contatos entre portadores de diferentes línguas e culturas em nosso tempo exigem também esforços no âmbito da didática das línguas para fazer convergir as práticas em sala de aula e as diferentes experiências e aprendizagem que a nova conjuntura pode suscitar nos aprendentes. Para isso, a intercompreensão contribui não só como uma ' abordagem atípica ' para aprender a aprender línguas, mas também para ' reaprender a ensinar línguas ' , do ponto de vista da formação de professores. Neste sentido, o presente artigo discute elementos que apontam a validade e o lugar que a intercompreensão vem ganhando no Brasil e reflete sobre a necessidade de repensar muitas das concepções vigentes no âmbito do ensino de línguas e, logo, a formação de professores. A partir do que propõe o Referencial de competências didáticas em intercompreensão, REFDIC, apresentamos as principais características da competência profissional iniciados nas práticas intercompreensivas e citamos pistas para a concepção de programas voltados para este objetivo.
